From the city's website at http://city.brockville.on.ca/index.cfm?ID=355 -

You are invited to attend an important Public Open House to review the draft Land Use and Growth Management Strategy, which includes a Transportation and Servicing Assessment, the draft Economic Development Strategy, the draft Integrated Community Sustainability Strategy (ICSS), and the draft Downtown and Waterfront Master Plan and Urban Design Strategy. These documents build upon the recommendations in the Foundation Report adopted by Council on June 23, 2009, and will assist in directing policy in the new Official Plan. To assist you, the reports, the presentation, and the display boards, all which will be discussed at the Open House, will be available on the City’s website on September 4, 2009. We encourage you to review these documents and have your comments ready for the Open House, as there will be an opportunity to provide input to the material presented.

The Public Open House will provide an opportunity to:

. Hear about the Official Plan Program;
. Discuss whether the Consultant’s “got it right” and what, if any, changes should be made;
. Listen and comment on the presentations on the draft reports, including the Land Use and Growth Management Strategy, which includes Transportation and Servicing, Economic Development Strategy, the ICSS, and the Downtown and Waterfront Master Plan and Urban Design Strategy; and
. Hear what others have to say.

Date: September 9, 2009
Time: 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Location: Memorial Centre Community Hall
