Hello everyone and welcome to Brockville Books N Brunch. With winter approaching I feel that Brockville needs something to help escape the winter blahs. I have been looking for a while now to join a book club that meets my needs and I can't find one, so my solution is to create my own. So here is my plan...

I would like to meet the first Sunday of every month at a local establishment (Brockville, Gananoque, Kingston, etc) for soem yummy brunch and book discussion.

I'm looking for members of course. Women only please between the ages of 20-40. I woudl like about 10-15 members max.

What types of books? Well that would be up to the members. Until we get the club built up, it would be kind of a free for all on suggestions until we discover what the group tastes are. I'm leaning towards just general popular fiction, Chick lit, etc.

Field trips? Absolutely!!! If we read a book that's turned into a movie, of course we're going to try and do a movie viewing. OR, if we happen to read something with a local tie in, then maybe a trip to the location. This will be something to be discussed when the group gets organized.

Esentially, I would like to get out and socialize with some fantastic women in my area with similar interests. Good food, good wine (because brunch makes it OK to drink in the morning) and good books. Can it get any better?

If you would like to join please respond to this blog. I'm hoping to get a posting on www.canadianbookclubs.com with more information.

respond ASAP if you're interested. I would like to start first Sunday of October!
